A bit more

I am Fjolla Ibrahimi Starabaja, a Clinical and Health Psychologist with more than 16 years of professional experience dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of individuals, children, and families. Throughout my career, I have combined clinical expertise with a deep commitment to strengthening families, protecting vulnerable children, and promoting emotional resilience through evidence-based psychological care. As a specialist in Positive Family Psychotherapy, I integrate my experience in clinical psychology, psychosocial crisis intervention, psychosomatic medicine, and child and family protection to provide holistic, client-centered care. I believe that mental health is shaped by the complex interaction of emotional, psychological, physical, and social factors, and I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of every individual and family. In my role at the Center for Social Work (QPS), I have led the management of some of the most complex child protection cases, including alternative care, family assessment, crisis intervention, and family empowerment. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and public institutions has strengthened my ability to support children and families through challenging circumstances with compassion, professionalism, and integrity. Since 2016, I have also served as a Health Educator in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and KOPF, delivering community-based health education and awareness programs focused on sexual health and the prevention of sexually transmitted infections. Through this work, I have contributed to increasing public awareness and improving access to reliable health information. As a certified trainer recognized by both national and international institutions, I have designed and facilitated numerous professional training programs, workshops, focus groups, and counseling initiatives. I enjoy empowering professionals, parents, young people, and communities by sharing practical knowledge and evidence-based approaches that foster resilience and well-being. My therapeutic practice is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for each person's unique journey. I offer Positive Family Psychotherapy to strengthen relationships and resolve family conflicts by building on the existing strengths and resources of each family member. Through Clinical Psychotherapy, I provide a safe and confidential space where individuals can address anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional distress, and life transitions with personalized support. I also incorporate Emitherapy, a holistic therapeutic approach that emphasizes emotional awareness, healing, and transformation by helping individuals reconnect with their authentic emotional experiences. In addition, I integrate meditation and mindfulness techniques to support stress management, emotional regulation, resilience, and greater balance in everyday life. Whether working with women, men, adolescents, parents, or families, my goal is to empower people to develop emotional intelligence, strengthen self-confidence, improve relationships, and create meaningful, fulfilling lives. I provide counseling both in person and online, making psychological support accessible and responsive to individual needs. I am committed to lifelong learning and continuously engage in scientific research and professional development to ensure my practice reflects the latest advances in psychology and mental health care. My mission is to create a safe, compassionate, and accessible space where individuals and families feel supported, understood, and empowered to overcome challenges, discover their strengths, and achieve lasting emotional well-being.
